Rhinoplasty for Dummies - What you must know before a nose job!

Rhinoplasty, commonly called as a nose job, is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedure. Even at Nana Hospital, we have new rhinoplasty patients visiting everyday. Why do we get rhinoplasty?  Rhinoplasty can give you a new, different nose. It can either give you a better function or a better aesthetic look, or both! Let's talk about functional problems of our noses.

1. Functional Reason for Rhinoplasty
One can have deviated septum, which is the main bridge to tip part of our nose.
You can also have crooked tip or crooked bridge or unbalanced nasal turbinate - which could cause breathing problems, sinus infections, runny nose and so on.

At Nana Hospital, we perform rhinoplasty to correct and balance out the problems for the functions to be improved. You can get your nose cartilages corrected, nose tip and nostrils re-sized for straight and balanced nose.

2. Aesthetic Reason for Rhinoplasty
There are more patients getting rhinoplasty for this reason. You can have:

- Deviation

[Real Review] Rhinoplasty and Ptosis Correction at NANA

Hello, everyone 😀 Today we want to show everyone how different a person can look after eye & nose surgery. We'll also show you guys how long it takes for major and minor swelling to go away.

Before the surgery, her main concerns were with her bulbous nose which was rather very  round  and big compared to her overall facial structure. Wide/bulbous nose can make you look more masculine.  She wanted to make her nose slimmer, especially the tip. As for her eyes, she wanted her eyes to be more symmetrical. Her eyes were located relatively far from each other as well. She wanted them to look more even, wider, and brighter.

A little over a week after her surgery, her face is still swollen. Her nose still looks a bit big at the tip, but it definitely looks a lot less wider and bulbous than before. Her eyes are now even and she doesn't have "sleepy" looking eyes anymore after ptosis correction. Her nose has been reshaped to look slimmer and straighter. At this stage, she still has t…

Incision & Non-incision Ptosis Correction - What's the Difference?

What is ptosis?
Ptosis is a condition where drooping of the eyelids occur due to having a weak levator muscle. Other factors such as age and having excess fat on the upper lids can cause ptosis as well.  Not only is ptosis aesthetically displeasing, as it causes a person to look sleepy and tired, it can also cause functional discomfort to those who have it.
People with ptosis tend to use their forehead muscles to drag up the eyelids and open eyes wider, worsening forehead wrinkles and hollowness above the brows.
Ptosis correction is therefore desirable to look and feel less tired on the eyes and stop using forehead muscles too much as well as to get rid of other discomfort.

According to aesthetic standards, our eyes look best when 80 to 90 percent of the iris is exposed. However, for those who have ptosis, only about 60 percent of their iris is exposed when fully opened. Getting ptosis correction can refine your eyelid lines, help you open eyes wider easily without feeling or looking tired or …
