Now we are away only about 200 days left till the Games that can unite nations during this hard pandemic that stirred up the whole world. For Japan, it's the second time that they are hosting the Summer Olympic games -  the first being in 1964 in Tokyo. With this year's Olympics, Japan will be the 1st city in Asia to host the Summer Olympics twice. Japan also hosted two Winter Olympics as well, in 1972 and 1998.

Official mascot of Tokyo 2020 is Miraitowa with indigo blue color. MIRAITOWA has a personality inspired by the Japanese proverb, “learn from the past and develop new ideas”. Miraitowa is cheerful character with remarkable athletic abilities.
