Why do we use the implant instead of Rib Cartilage for Rhinoplasty?

Hi there~

I'm here today to let you guys know

why we are usually using the implant

and septal/ear cartilage on the nose,

she got Rhinoplasty at NANA

not the Rib Cartilage.

I've got so many inquiries about,

"Can I use my own rib cartilage instead of implant?"

The answer is

"Yes, you can.
But we can make the shape you want most with the implant."

The septal cartilage is most commonly used to make the tip of the nose because the angle of the tip of the nose can be adjusted.

In terms of the nose bridge, the nasal implant is usually used.
We can shave and make the shape you want👍

However,

many patients ask us if they can use the rib cartilage on the bridge.

You can as I mentioned but,

The rib cartilage from the sixth to the ninth is taken to use.

It is painful around the rib after the surgery,

and rib cartilage is harder than other cartilage.

In addition, the fat around the cartilage gonna dissolved and only the cartilage will be left there.

So the nose can be bumpy as time goes by,

and there will be a scar on the area where the cartilage is taken.

The doctors at NANA will recommend you and perform the surgery which is the most suitable for you.

Don't worry and Be with NANA❤

Best,
NANA
