Best K-dramas filming places to visit! (ver. Autumn/ Winter)

If you are planning to visit South Korea during the winter holidays, take time to go to the following iconic places where famous recent K-dramas were filmed 🎬


1. Goblin: The Lonely and Great God

📍 Jumunjin Beach

Address: 8-20 Hyangho-ri, Jumunjin-eup, Gangneung, Gangwon-do, South Korea.

This beach, located in Gangneung, is famous for the first meeting of the main actors Kim Goeun and Gong Yoo as Kim accidentally called him. 


2. Mr. Sunshine

📍 Sunshine Studio, Nonsan 

Address: 102, Bonghwang-ro, Yeonmu-eup, Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do.

Mr. Sunshine was filmed by recreating the old Seoul from the Chosun Dynasty to the Korean Empire. So, this means that the drama was filmed during the previous era of Japanese colonization background. This place is also an important historical place because other countries also participated in the fight for Korean independence. On the other side, tourists can also have their own experience of touring this Sunshine land under the Korean historical background of the mid-1950s.


3. Winter Sonata

📍 Nami island

Address: 1 Namisum-gil, Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon, Gangwon-do

Nami island is still very popular due to the Winter Sonata drama where the main characters, Yu Kin and Ju Sang starred. The two characters met for the first time in high school, however, an unexpected event will change their lives. 


4. The King

📍 Gwanghwamun Square

Address: 72 Sejong-daero, Sejongno, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

This place is famous for the first meeting between Kim Go-Eun and Lee Min-Ho. 


5. The Legend of the Blue Sea

📍 Namsam Tower

Address: 105 Namsangongwon-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

Namsan Tower's view is beautiful during the day and night. This place is the most selected one for film settings in Korea. In the drama The Legend of the Blue Sea, Heo Joon-Jae starring Lee Min Ho is waiting to meet Jun Ji-Hyun during the first snowfall. An interesting fact is that Lee Min-Ho also appeared as Goo Jun-Pyo in Boys over Flowers with Geum Jan-Di at Nasam Tower too.
