Recently NANA asked our surgeons to predict 2023's plastic surgery trend!
Every December to February is the peak season for high school graduates and university students to get plastic surgeries in Korea since it is their winter break and the perfect time to get some face and body upgrades. So we also looked at the celebrity photos that high school graduates brought to us as references.

Q: Plastic surgery trend prediction for 2023?
Dr Hwang, NANA's chief surgeon who specialized in Breast, believes that breast augmentation will continue to be popular in 2023. Along with the huge trend of taking '바디프로필' (Professional fitness photoshoot) among Korea's young generations, Dr Hwang expects that people will be more aware of their body shapes and thus become interested in getting breast augmentations.
Moving on, Dr Sung believes that plastic surgeries with natural results are the new trend. Patients are looking for a hint of glamour within a natural look, especially when it comes to eye and nose surgeries.
Dr Park and Dr Lee both predicted that lifting procedures will be the trend in 2023. Facelifts used to be popular among middle-aged patients, however, the age range has gone down to the early 30s in recent years. Rather than invasive lifting methods, non-invasive lifting procedures with minor or no incisions have been invented and receiving lots of attention, such as laser, thread, and mini lifting.
Q: Eyes and Nose trend prediction for 2023?
Dr Sung: 'Pure and innocent impression within a glamorous look, just like idol New Jean's Minji and Haerin.'
Dr Lee: 'Eyelid trend has shifted from glamorous Outline to In-out Line or Inline.'
Dr Park: 'Nose trend has shifted from Half-straight half-curved shape like actress Shin Se-kyung's nose to a straight shape like actress Go Youn-jung, Idol Aespa's Karina and Winter's nose.'
Q: What celebrity photos that high school graduates brought as references the most?
The top winner is.... girl group IVE's Jang Won-young!
Apart from Won-young, IVE's Yujin, New Jean's Minji & Haerin are also very popular.
For patients who are looking for a semi-outline eyelid shape, Blackpink's Jennie's pictures are often brought to the consultations.
For the male celebrity, it's BTS's V! He has been and continues to be the most popular plastic surgery reference for young Korean men.
