Hi everyone! 💗

It's NANA and today I am back with another blog.

Have you heard of the Korean drama, "The Glory"? It is a revenge story on Netflix about school violence in South Korea. Season 2 was released last week, and it has already topped Netflix chart in South Korea, also in other 35 nations. If you have watched the series, you may realize that the actresses who played teen and adult characters show a very high resemblance.

Today NANA's doctor, Dr. Lee Seung-jae will be analyzing the actresses' faces to find out why they resemble so much. Let's find out more!

1. Moon Dong-eun: Played by Song Hye-kyo and Jung Ji-so

You don't see many resemblances if looking at their pictures separately, but if you compare them side by side, we can find out that they share a lot of similar characteristics.

Firstly, they both have very big and bright eyes, with very similar shapes. For the lips, they both have thick lips and their lip corners slightly point down. From this picture, you can almost believe that they are the same person, one in her teenage years and one in her adult years!

For their noses, there are some differences. Song Hye-kyo is widely known for having a 'perfect' nose, her bridge, tip, and alar shape all angles perfectly. Instead, Jung Ji-so has a rounder nose tip and alar, which gives her a soft and cute impression that makes her suitable for acting in teenage characters.

2. Park Yeon-jin: Played by Im Ji-yeon and Shin Ye-eun

They look most alike when acting as a villain. The way they frown turns their noses into an arrowhead shape, which makes their impressions look scarier.

For Shin Ye-eun, she has a defined but cute nose shape. For Im Ji-yeon, she has a sharper nose with a straight nose bridge.

Moving to eyes, Im Ji-yeon has a relatively lower crease compared to Shin Ye-eun. For their overall facial shape, they both have a refined and modern look. Dr. Lee thinks that in that sense, they share a high resemblance.

3. Choi Hye-jeong: Played by Cha Joo-young and Song Ji-woo

They both have very natural, not too exaggerated in-out-line double eyelid creases.

Both of their noses sit perfectly in the center of their faces, with just the correct length and shape. They both have very glamorous features, but did very well acting as a pitiful character with a poor background.

4. Lee Sa-ra: Played by Kim Hi-eo-ra and Bae Kang-hee

This villain character is addicted to drugs, and Kim Hi-eo-ra's facial features are just perfect for acting as Lee Sa-ra. She has a semi-outline for her double eyelid crease, a very slim nose with little fat, and a tip slightly pointing upwards. For Bae Kang-hee, she has a very balanced bridge and tip ratio, that the shape is yet not too round, or too pointy.

For their eyes, Dr. Lee was shocked when he first saw them, because they have the exact same eyelid crease.

Who resembles the most?

Dr. Lee thinks that Song Hye-kyo and Jung Ji-so resemble the most!

The overall impressions of them are very similar, thus he thinks that the character's transition from teen to adult was very natural. Especially for their big and bright eyes, the defined double eyelid crease, and nose shape.

That's all for today and I hope you find today's blog interesting!

I will see you next week 💗

Best,

NANA
