Summer Activities in Korea

Hey everyone!

NANA is back again and it looks like summer is once again around the corner! If you have any plans to come to Korea during this period of time, here are some fun activities in Korea that you can consider!

Summer in Korea can be pretty hot, and along with the usual rain within the first couple of weeks, the air can be quite humid. If you are planning to come over during the first few weeks, make sure to bring an umbrella just in case!

1. Beach

Summer is always the best time to head down to the beach! It's a time when children get to play in the sand, and adults get to surf or swim or just suntan. In Korea, there are many beaches that are just a luxury to be at during the summer.

Some of the popular beaches here are: Sokcho Beach (Sokcho), Gyeongpo Beach (Gangneung), Haeundae Beach (Busan)

3. Picnic by the River

Having such nice weather means that there is plenty of time to do activities outdoors! One of the more popular things to do in Korea during the summer is to have a picnic. This stress-relieving activity can be done with your significant other or even with just a few of your closest friends! The best part about this is, if you head over to the Han River, chances are you will be able to spot a few vendors outside renting picnic mats and tables! All you need is to give them a form of ID and you will be able to rent whatever you need for hours on end, no need to lug anything from home and back!

4. Rent a bike around Han River

Speaking of the Han River, it is THE hot spot during the summer. There are so many activities you're able to do! One of them is renting a bicycle in one of the many bike rental stalls located along the river and taking a leisurely ride along the river! Since the river spans across Seoul, you will never feel like you'd run out of road! Just remember to return the bike during the hours that you've rented though, or you will be charged extra!

5. Theme Parks

A family favourite activity that is absolutely perfect during summer is going to a theme park! In Korea, there are plenty of fun and enormous theme parks for you to enjoy with your family and friends. One of our absolute favourites is Everland, located in Yongin City, Gyeonggi, it is Korea's largest theme park and it houses the world's steepest wooden rollercoaster, T-Express. Great for those who like a little thrill in their lives!

That's all for today! There are of course so many more things to do in Korea, and these are only some ideas that you can do for your summer vacation here. If you wish to make the best of your time in Korea during the summer, we would definitely recommend these. Till next time!

Regards,

NANA
