[NANA NEWS] It's a Lonely Christmas Due to Covid-19

Are we all in the same page for thinking that we don't want to count 2020 as a year as it has been heavily affected by Covid-19? Unfortunately, it's too early to decide now as there is a high possibility that the deadly virus will move on to the new year as well.

As December is beginning to fold up, Christmas and New Year vibe is all in the air, however for many front-liners around the country, Christmas was just like any other day at work, fighting the pandemic.

On Christmas day, December 25th, South Korea has counted 1,241 more cases of Covid-19, another day of counting cases more than a thousand.

South Korea is currently on Level 2.5 of social distancing however with the number of cases appearing daily, the country is more than eligible for Level 3, the highest in its five-tier scheme. However, the government is trying to keep the current level as the Level 3 might affect the economy and small business owners heavily.

So instead of raising the social distancing level, the government decided to target the virus curbs and Seoul city has banned gatherings of five or more people until Jan 3rd. Restaurants are ordered to operate only until 9pm and will face a fine if they allow visitors of more than four companies.

For all patients and health workers who can't be home for Christmas with their families,
it would be a lonely Christmas.

We all wish that the measures taken currently will help the pandemic slow down.

NANA Hospital wishes everyone to have a safe Christmas and New Year!
