[REAL SURGERY REVIEW] RHINOPLASTY, FACIAL LIPOSUCTION WITH THREAD LIFTING, CHIN IMPLANT

NANA is back with another real plastic surgery review.
Sherwin is an international student in Korea from the Philippines.
Let's take a look at his plastic surgery journey at NANA Hospital.

He told NANA that he always felt super insecure about his appearance since young, mostly because of his bulbous nose and chubby face. His biggest concerns were his nose (bridge is low and flat, tip is bulbous) and his facial fat, mostly around his cheeks, jawline and double chin area. He wanted to get a slimmer face and sharper, well defined nose line. After thinking for a long time, he finally decided to get a plastic surgery so that he could feel more confident in himself.

He researched a lot on internet about plastic surgery clinics and read so many good reviews about NANA Hospital and he wanted to visit a hospital where they have English speaking staffs so that he can communicate more clearly and in detail with the doctor about exactly what he wants without worrying about the language barrier. And that's how he came to visit NANA Hospital.

He did a consultation with two NANA doctors as below:

After a thorough consultation, rhinoplasty specialist Dr.Son has advised Sherwin to do:

✯ nose bridge (silicon implant )
✯ nose tip (own septum cartilage)
✯ alar base reduction

With Dr. Hong, Sherwin talked about how he wanted to achieve slimmer face line, and thus the doctor has advised him to do:

✯ facial liposuction (cheeks, jawline, double chin area)
✯ thread lifting (to prevent any skin sagging and achieve lifted-up, tighter face line)
✯ chin implant (he had a recessive chin)

With all the consultations finished, he moved on to get all the necessary pre-op medical examinations. NANA Hospital has a facility in the hospital where patients can do all the medical examinations conveniently before they go into any surgery.

After completing all the necessary pre-op processes, Sherwin went into the surgery 🤩 (excited)

After the surgery is finished, he rested in the recovery room for about 2 hrs before heading home.

For facial surgery + rhinoplasty, there are some follow-ups that need to be done.
2 DAYS POST-OP (for rhinoplasty): come back to the hospital to remove the merocel (nasal pack which is place inside the nose to compress bleeding)
7 DAYS POST-OP: remove stitches (for both rhinoplasty and facial liposuction), remove the nose cast and do doctor check-up.

Sherwin recalled how the first two days after the surgery were the most difficult as he had to continuously breathe through his mouth. But there was no pain at all, it was just a bit of discomfort.

But after the stitches and the nose cast were removed on the 7th day, he felt hundred times better.
After surgery, it's very normal to have swelling and bruises (just like the picture above, he has a lot of swelling and bruises)
So the patient has to do some self-care to reduce them such as:

From day 1 to 3 (from the surgery day), use ice pack to prevent swelling and bleeding.
From day 4, start warm massage as this helps get rid of bruises and swelling quicker.
Sitting position or light walking can help reduce swelling better than lying down.
Drinking pumpkin juice also helps with de-swell faster.

Major swelling and bruises will gradually fade away after a month and it can take up to 6 months for minor swelling to all go down. Sherwin understood all the post-op cautions very well and waited patiently 😀
It's been 2 months now since his surgery.

Now let's take a look at his results, shall we?😍
