All you need to know about liposuction! Tips & Precaution 🞧🞧 |NANA PLASTIC SURGERY HOSPITAL

Hi guys~

We are already near the end of January and to prepare for our summer body~

I came back with some information about liposuction!

As you can see in the photos, liposuction is to remove any unwanted fat through surgery. Many of our patients come in for liposuction because they have fat in unwanted areas, even with hard exercising hard to achieve wanted figure, and so on! Some of you guys may be experiencing stubborn fat and the reasons mentioned above. If you are Liposuction may be ray of hope!

These days due to our vastly changing trends people ask for these two options the most. First, ladies who want a smaller waist and smaller thighs for perfect hourglass figure. But of course for our ladies & gents who works out ask for option 2. Most frequently, love handle, inner thighs and upper arms.

As you may know, the Kardashians, Cardi B, and many other celebs set the hourglass figure trend on fire! So many of our ladies come in for liposuction around the abdomen and thighs. But for our work out fans come in with concerns about the stubborn fat. There are many causes of stubborn fat but the main causes are bad diet/eating habits and the aging process. And of course, changing your lifestyle + aging is almost close to impossible. But the good news is if the fat is the main cause of achieving your wanted body shape these treated areas will not gain weight the same as before! The reason is we remove actual fat cells during the surgery. Fat cells act as storage, so if you have more fat cells stores more calories and fat for energy! The size and volume of fat cells may change according to your diet but the count of fat cells does not decrease. But liposuction can remove fat cells in necessary areas. Hence, as long as you don’t extremely gain weight you won’t gain weight the same as before.

Now many of you who are considering may be concerned about the dangers of liposuction. You might have heard the horrors of Kathy Griffin, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Tara Reid. These celebrities decided on liposuction but ended up with lumpy skin, scars, and saggy skin. It’s very important to do a lot of research about which doctor and hospital you are choosing to do the surgery. Because depending on their experiences and skills, our scary side effects can be avoided.

Other than the scary side effects that can happen with botched plastic surgery there are other things you should beware of. Such as thin skin, cellulite, and keloid skin. Those of you who have thin skin with uncontrolled diet and aging may see more sagginess in the skin after the liposuction. It is important to keep your body hydrated and healthy with some workouts.  Cellulite is a lump of fat entangled together. Cellulite is extremely tricky to remove so it’s very important to talk to your doctor before getting your surgery because it can cause lumpiness and dimpling. Lastly, people who have keloid skin are easier to have raised scarring. So note to everyone with keloid skin incisional area may result in Keloid scars. If you have keloid skin consult with the doctor how long and where the incision areas are!

Now that we have covered what to avoid let’s jump right into precautions!

After Liposuction you will have to wear a compression garment. Depending on the doctor duration of the compression garment may vary. But at Nana, we ask you to wear them for at least 1 month at all times! Of course, you can remove them when you shower but make sure you take showers after all your stitches are fully removed! The first few weeks of compression garments may feel a bit uncomfortable due to all the swelling. But after removing chunks of your fat you must help your skin to stick back to your muscles. Hence the tightness of the compression garment must be endured. Also, if your pain tolerance is a little more sensitive than others tightness of the compression garment can help control the pain level. Also, make sure there aren’t worn with creases or wrinkles this can cause lumpiness. Lastly, you must avoid smoking, public baths, swimming, and drinking alcohol. They can cause infection and other complications.

If you took good care of all your precautions, you only have swelling to worry about.

Huge swelling will start to show 1~2weeks after the surgery. 2weeks after surgery your swelling will start to de-swell gradually! Some of you may feel slight lumps or hardness in your surgery area. These symptoms can be temporary for the first 6month, if you are experiencing unusual pain and change of color contact the doctor now! But if you are experiencing temporary hardness or lumpiness do not massage or irritate the surgery area.
